Joshua Wild
I am an ambitious TV and film student, who is proud to be deaf, looking forward to the inclusive opportunities in the Creative Media industry.
I volunteer in the media department of Oldham Athletic FC and Radcliffe DFC, as I aspire to work in sports media.

I am currently studying my second year in HND Creative Media Production Film and TV at Hopwood Hall University. In previous projects I have confidently undertaken the role of Director, Producer, Camera Operator and Editor.
I have learned the necessary skills to complete the responsibilities of these roles to a high standard. I am most passionate about the role of the Camera Operator as I love that I am able to capture moments from a variety of settings. I am enthusiastic about the technical aspect of ensuring the camera settings are correct to achieve the best look.
I find this challenging, however it means I am continuously learning and developing my skill set.

I am passionate about working within the sports industry, specifically football. I have two years' experience working within the media team of Oldham Athletic Football Club, which includes filming the games on a weekly basis, capturing content for their social media and I have supported with editing highlights for YouTube. This has led to further opportunities to work with a local deaf football club in Radcliffe, in which I manage their social media posts in the build up to, during and post-match.
My work experience includes:
-
Oldham Athletic – Camera Operator
-
BBC Drama: The Listeners- Location Marshall
-
NHS Rochdale Corporate video- Camera Operator
-
Phoenix Brewery Heywood- Camera Operator and Editor for a short film documentary
-
Bolton international film festival- Lead a Q&A with filmmaker Chris Paul Daniels
-
Rochdale Health Alliance- Camera Operator and Director
-
Horton Arms Halloween party and New Years Eve party- Camera Operator and Editor
-
Radcliffe DFC- Social Media Content Creator, Camera Operator and Editor
I want to set up a business to offer a broad creative media production service, while I also continue to develop my specialisms in sports videography, as well as working with the Deaf community. My goal is to be an active part of the growing creative community in the area, as well as the expanding creative media industries across the Northwest.
